Pravidla soutěže
Disciplíny a závodní kategorie
1. Disciplíny
MČR iaidō probíhá ve dvou disciplínách:
a) soutěž jednotlivců;
b) soutěž týmů.
V soutěži jednotlivců startuje závodník v kategorii odpovídající stupni v iaidō, jehož je držitelem.
V soutěži týmů nastupují proti sobě dvoučlenné nebo tříčlenné týmy. všichni členové jednoho týmu musí být registrováni u stejné národní federace. Součet stupňů v iaidō, jejichž jsou členové jednoho týmu držiteli, nesmí přesáhnout hodnotu 10, přičemž nejvyšší započitatelný stupeň je 5. dan.
Pro zařazení závodníka do soutěžní kategorie i pro posouzení podmínek účasti v soutěži týmů je rozhodující stupeň v iaidō, jehož je závodník držitelem ke dni uzavření registrace do soutěže.
2. Závodní kategorie
Závodní kategorie se vyhlašují pouze pro soutěž jednotlivců.
Kategorie mohou být stanoveny následovně:
Mudan - bez technického stupně / kyū
Shodan - 1. dan
Nidan - 2. dan
Sandan - 3. dan
Yondan - 4. dan
Godan - 5. dan
Pořadatel může vyhlásit i další podkategorie, zejména kategorii Mudan junior určenou pro závodníky, kteří cvičí s dřevěným mečem (bokutō) a jsou držiteli nejvýše stupně 2. kyū v iaidō.
V případě nízkého počtu účastníků v některé kategorii si pořadatel vyhrazuje právo některé kategorie sloučit.
Soutěžní systémy
1. MČR iaidō probíhá formou porovnávání technického provedení kata podle pravidel ZNKR.
2. Soutěž je organizována systémem skupin (poolů) s následným vyřazovacím bojem (dále jen „KO“).
3. Závodníci nebo týmy jsou náhodně rozlosováni do tříčlenných, výjimečně dvoučlenných skupin.
4. Z každé skupiny postupují dva nejlepší závodníci nebo týmy do vyřazovací části.
5. Pořadí ve skupině je určeno:
a) počtem vítězství;
b) v případě rovnosti počtem získaných praporků;
c) v případě přetrvávající rovnosti výsledkem doplňujícího zápasu.
6. Do prvního kola vyřazovací části jsou závodníci nebo týmy nasazováni podle umístění ve skupinách dle příslušného schématu KO pro daný počet účastníků uvedeného v příloze tohoto soutěžního řádu.
7. Závodníci nebo týmy postupují vyřazovací částí až do finále. Účastníci finále soutěží o první a druhé místo.
Semifinalistům se udělují dvě třetí místa.
8. Výběr kata určuje hlavní rozhodčí soutěže.
V soutěži jednotlivců se zpravidla provádějí tři kata ve skupinové části a pět kata ve vyřazovací části.
V soutěži týmů provádí každý ze závodníků tři kata.
Podmínky startu na MČR iaidō
1. Člen ČFK se může zúčastnit MČR iaidō, pokud je řádným členem ČFK a má zaplacený členský příspěvek.
2. Závodník musí být řádně registrován do soutěže v souladu s jejími propozicemi.
3. Každý závodník startuje na vlastní odpovědnost, případně na odpovědnost svého zákonného zástupce.
4. Závodník může startovat současně v individuální i týmové soutěži, pokud jsou obě disciplíny vyhlášeny.
5. Závodník je povinen:
a) mít odpovídající výstroj, kterou tvoří iaidōgi a hakama jednotné barvy – černé nebo bílé;
b) být označen identifikační nášivkou (zekken);
c) používat zbraň (iaitō, shinken nebo bokutō), která je v dobrém technickém stavu a odpovídá bezpečnostním požadavkům;
d) na vyzvání rozhodčího nebo pořadatele umožnit kontrolu zbraně.
6. Závodník nesmí použít zbraň, která je poškozená nebo by mohla ohrozit bezpečnost ostatních účastníků.
O způsobilosti zbraně rozhoduje hlavní rozhodčí soutěže.
7. Nedostaví-li se závodník na zápasiště do tří minut od vyzvání, je jeho utkání kontumováno.
Start zahraničních závodníků neregistrovaných v ČFK
1. Zahraniční účastník, který není registrován v ČFK, se může zúčastnit MČR iaidō, pokud je členem národní federace sdružené v European Kendo Federation (EKF) nebo International Kendo Federation (FIK) a prokáže tuto skutečnost při registraci.
2. Zahraniční účastníci mají stejná práva a povinnosti jako účastníci registrovaní v ČFK.
3. Registrace zahraničních účastníků probíhá v souladu s propozicemi soutěže.
Competition Rules
Disciplines and Competition Categories
1. Disciplines
The Czech Iaido Championship is held in two disciplines:
a) individual competition;
b) team competition.
In the individual competition, each competitor enters the category corresponding to their current Iaido grade.
In the team competition, teams of two or three competitors compete against each other. all members of a team must be registered with the same national federation. The combined Iaido grades of the members of one team must not exceed 10, with 5th Dan being the highest grade counted towards this total.
For the purpose of assigning competitors to competition categories and determining eligibility for the team competition, the decisive grade is the Iaido grade held by the competitor on the registration deadline.
2. Competition Categories
Competition categories are established for the individual competition only.
The following categories may be established:

Mudan – ungraded / Kyu

Shodan – 1st Dan

Nidan – 2nd Dan

Sandan – 3rd Dan

Yondan – 4th Dan
-
Godan – 5th Dan
The organiser may also establish additional subcategories, in particular a Mudan Junior category for competitors who practise with a wooden sword (bokuto) and hold an Iaido grade no higher than 2nd Kyu.
If the number of participants in a particular category is too low, the organiser reserves the right to merge categories.
Competition Format

The Czech Iaido Championship is conducted by comparing the technical performance of kata in accordance with ZNKR rules.

The competition consists of a pool stage followed by a knockout stage (KO).

Competitors or teams are randomly drawn into pools of three, or exceptionally two.

The top two competitors or teams from each pool advance to the knockout stage.

The ranking within each pool is determined by:
a) the number of wins;
b) if tied, the number of flags received;
c) if still tied, the result of an additional match. -
In the first round of the knockout stage, competitors or teams are placed according to their results in the pools and the relevant KO bracket for the number of participants, as specified in the appendix to the competition rules.

Competitors or teams proceed through the knockout stage to the final. The finalists compete for first and second place.
Both losing semi-finalists are awarded third place.

The kata to be performed are selected by the Chief Referee.
In the individual competition, competitors normally perform three kata during the pool stage and five kata during the knockout stage.
In the team competition, each competitor performs three kata.
Eligibility Requirements for the Czech Iaido Championship

A member of the Czech Kendo Federation (ČFK) may participate in the Czech Iaido Championship provided that they are a registered member of ČFK and have paid their membership fee.

Each competitor must be duly registered for the competition in accordance with the event regulations.

Each competitor participates at their own responsibility, or under the responsibility of their legal guardian where applicable.

A competitor may participate in both the individual and team competitions if both disciplines are held.

Each competitor is required to:
a) wear appropriate equipment consisting of an iaidogi and hakama of the same colour – either black or white;
b) wear an identification name tag (zekken);
c) use a weapon (iaito, shinken or bokuto) that is in good technical condition and meets safety requirements;
d) allow their weapon to be inspected at the request of a referee or organiser. -
A competitor must not use a damaged weapon or any weapon that could endanger the safety of other participants.
The Chief Referee has the final decision regarding whether a weapon is suitable for use.

If a competitor does not report to the competition area within three minutes of being called, the match will be awarded to their opponent by default.
Participation of International Competitors Not Registered with ČFK

An international competitor who is not registered with ČFK may participate in the Czech Iaido Championship provided that they are a member of a national federation affiliated with the European Kendo Federation (EKF) or the International Kendo Federation (FIK) and can provide proof of membership at registration.

International competitors have the same rights and obligations as competitors registered with ČFK.

International competitors must register in accordance with the event regulations.
